Beliefs & predictions
Recurring beliefs about self and others, expectations and predictions.
The method behind Soma Pattern
Soma Pattern is an AI-powered subconscious pattern-mapping system designed to make recurring internal patterns visible over time.
It looks across what you choose to share — conversations, reflections, decisions and experiences — and forms revisable hypotheses about the beliefs, predictions, protective strategies and emotional patterns that may be shaping how you respond.
Soma Pattern does not diagnose you or claim to objectively know your subconscious. Its maps are working hypotheses: they can be accepted, edited, rejected, strengthened, weakened or changed as new evidence emerges.
A living map that evolves.
What Soma Pattern is
Individual moments can look unrelated.
A reaction at work.
A relationship dynamic.
Hesitation around visibility.
Difficulty asking for help.
A decision that feels strangely charged.
Seen separately, they may look like different problems.
Seen across time, they may contain recurring beliefs, expectations, fears or protective strategies.
Soma Pattern connects those signals across contexts rather than treating every conversation as a blank slate.
Its purpose is not simply to describe what happened.
It is to help make visible what may keep generating similar experiences.
Soma Pattern at a glance
Audience
Individuals using Soma Pattern Personal for deeper self-understanding, and practitioners using Soma Pattern Professional for continuity and pattern intelligence across client work.
Problem
Recurring internal patterns can be difficult to recognize when they appear across different situations and over long periods.
Inputs
Personal: conversations, reflections, decisions and experiences the individual chooses to share.
Professional: practitioner-provided client material such as notes, transcript excerpts, observations and reflections.
Outputs
Pattern hypotheses, Soma Map updates, continuity insights, reflection guidance, practical tools and user-led experiments that can generate new evidence.
Mechanism
AI synthesizes recurring signals across user-provided context over time.
Intended use
Self-awareness, reflection, pattern recognition and continuity.
Not intended for
Diagnosis, psychotherapy, medical treatment, crisis support or determining objective psychological truth.
Evidence status
Soma Pattern distinguishes its product method from hypotheses generated from user-provided information. External research evidence will be documented separately as that research layer is developed.

Recurring beliefs about self and others, expectations and predictions.
Control, safety, avoidance, visibility and other protective responses.
Recurring emotional reactions and relationship dynamics.
Repeated decisions, contradictions, strengthening, weakening and changes in the pattern.
Soma Pattern only works with information the user chooses to share.
It does not diagnose psychological or medical conditions.
It does not determine someone’s “true personality” or permanently label them.
A pattern hypothesis is a revisable interpretation, not proof that something is objectively true.
What “subconscious pattern” means in Soma Pattern
A possible underlying pattern inferred from recurring user-provided signals that may operate outside immediate conscious awareness.
The process
Soma Pattern forms pattern hypotheses through a continuous, collaborative process. The user remains part of the loop, and the Map can change as new evidence emerges.
The goal is not to make the first interpretation permanent. The goal is to make the pattern visible enough that it can be examined and tested.
Something meaningful appears in a conversation, reflection or decision.
A similar belief, expectation, reaction or protective strategy appears again.
Soma Pattern considers when and where the signal appears.
It considers whether several signals may belong to the same broader pattern.
Soma Pattern may form a tentative interpretation about a possible underlying belief, prediction or protective strategy.
The user can accept, edit or reject surfaced hypotheses.
Later experiences can support, weaken, contradict or complicate an interpretation.
The Soma Map can change when the evidence changes.
Recurrence
Soma Pattern tracks recurrence because repetition can make a hypothesis more relevant. Recurrence alone does not make the interpretation objectively true.
A meaningful signal has appeared.
Related evidence appears again.
The pattern has appeared consistently across the information available to Soma Pattern.
“Reinforced” means recurrent within the information available to Soma Pattern. It does not mean clinically proven, objectively true or permanent.
New evidence
Soma Pattern can help users turn an interpretation into something that can be examined in real life.
A user may choose to try a practical action, experiment or different response related to a pattern.
What happens afterward may become new evidence.
The experience appears consistent with the current hypothesis.
The experience challenges the hypothesis.
Some parts fit while others do not.
The experience does not materially change the interpretation.
There is not enough signal yet.
Illustrative example
Illustrative example — not a real user case.
A person repeatedly describes:
Soma Pattern may form a working hypothesis:
“I may believe that remaining capable and self-sufficient is important for maintaining respect or safety.”
Later, that person asks a colleague for help.
Instead of losing respect, the colleague responds positively and the working relationship becomes more collaborative.
That experience does not fit neatly with the original prediction.
Soma Pattern can treat it as contradictory or weakening evidence, allowing the original hypothesis to evolve instead of forcing new information into an old interpretation.
Avoid asking for help; need the answer; take on too much.
Capability = safety / respect
I asked for help and it went well.
This does not fit neatly with the original prediction.
The hypothesis evolves with new evidence.
Both can support reflection. Their primary jobs are different.
Personality tests usually classify a person using a predefined framework at a particular point in time.
Soma Pattern does something different.
It does not assign the user a fixed personality type.
Its interpretations emerge from what the user chooses to share and can evolve as new information appears.
You mainly want to write freely, record experiences or track moods.
You want a standardized trait or type framework.
Soma Pattern does not treat everything it generates as the same kind of information. It keeps a distinction between what the user actually shared, what the system inferred from those signals, and what later experience adds to or changes that interpretation.
Information the user actually provides — for example a reaction, decision, repeated phrase, event, reflection, note or experience.
A tentative interpretation Soma Pattern may form when related signals appear to recur across contexts or over time.
Later experiences can support, weaken, complicate or contradict an existing hypothesis. New evidence can change the Soma Map.
Soma Pattern keeps a distinction between what was directly provided by the user and what the system inferred from it. Interpretations remain revisable rather than being treated as permanent facts.
Soma Pattern uses AI to interpret user-provided information, identify possible recurrence, synthesize context and generate reflections, pattern hypotheses and practical tools.

Make the pattern visible
Bring Soma Pattern what is happening now.
Over time, the Map can begin to show what keeps repeating, what may be driving it and what changes when new evidence appears.
